Mission
Governing Council is the decision-making body responsible for day-to-day operations, setting annual school goals, overseeing program implementation and evaluating budgetary and program support needs of CKCS in accordance with the Verona Area School District (VASD) Core Knowledge® Charter contract.
What We Really Do
The Governing Council provides a forum for parent representatives to collaborate with school leadership to set CKCS goals, budgets, and curriculum. Board members are asked to serve on one of four committees:

OPEN POSITION
Badger Ridge Middle School Representative
Governing Council is currently seeking a parent representative from Badger Ridge Middle School for a 1-year term. This member would provide feedback from a BRMS perspective on discussion items. The member would be a voting member, but would typically abstain from votes unless related to BRMS. The estimated time commitment would be 2-3 hours a month, including attendance at a monthly meeting.
